Should I get tested for COVID-19?
If any of the following apply to you, get tested ASAP
:

  • Symptoms like coughing, shortness of breath, or loss of taste.

  • You’ve been in contact with someone displaying these symptoms or someone diagnosed with COVID-19.

Is J&C Healthcare Center accepting walk-ins for the COVID-19 vaccine?


No, we do not accept walk-ins. Please schedule appointments online or by calling our office.

What type of COVID-19 vaccine does J&C

Healthcare Center administer?


We provide Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines, subject to availability. For more information, visit our COVID-19 Vaccine page.

Scheduling Questions

Can I schedule a COVID-19 vaccine by phone?


Yes, vaccinations can be scheduled online or by phone. Eligible individuals must make an appointment through our online reservation system or by calling our office.

How do I schedule my second dose?


Your second dose appointment will be available exactly 28 days after your first dose, at the same day and time as your initial appointment. For example, if your first appointment was on January 12 at 11 a.m., your second appointment will be on February 9 at 11 a.m. You will receive a reminder about a week prior.

Can I make a second appointment for my partner or spouse?


Yes, you will have the option to book another appointment once you complete your own.

How do I cancel a scheduled appointment?


To cancel, call J&C Healthcare Center directly.

 

Can I transfer a scheduled appointment to someone else?


Appointments cannot be transferred. If you no longer need your appointment, please call to cancel.

Vaccine Information

Why should I get the vaccine?


According to the CDC, getting the COVID-19 vaccine adds an extra layer of protection and helps keep you safe, along with continuing CDC-recommended social distancing practices.

Do I still need to practice social distancing and wear a mask after getting the vaccine?


Yes, according to the CDC, you should continue wearing a mask, practicing social distancing, and washing your hands frequently.

I already had COVID-19 and recovered. Do I still need the vaccine?


Yes, the CDC recommends you still receive the vaccine. For more information, consult your primary care physician.

What are the most common side effects?


Common side effects include soreness, redness, or warmth at the injection site. Some may experience chills, fatigue, headache, or fever, especially after the second dose. For more details, visit the CDC’s website.

How can I report severe side effects?


You will receive information on how to report adverse effects, including through the CDC’s V-safe system. You can also complete a Vaccine Adverse Event Report System (VAERS) report online. If you experience a severe allergic reaction, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital.

Can I get COVID-19 from the vaccine?


No. According to the CDC, currently authorized vaccines do not contain the live virus. The vaccine provides genetic material that helps your immune system develop antibodies to combat COVID-19.
